IT for Conferences

Conferences may make use of various IT facilities offered by Wadham. Typical facilities are outlined below; for further details, please contact the Conference Office .

Use of the Network

Conference delegates may connect their personal laptops/PCs to the college network via the wired Ethernet in their rooms.  Delegates are welcome to make reasonable use of the network, within the terms of an Acceptable Use Policy (available from the Conference Office). Wadham IT is able to provide limited support in connecting laptops/PCs to the network.

Use of the CCR

Some conferences elect to reserve one of the College Computer Rooms (CCR).  These are situated in the bottom of staircase 19 and will accommodate 6, or 10 users.  This facility affords the user access to the internet, commonly used applications and to the networked mono laser printer. There are also two scanners which can be made available to delegates.  Conference organisers are issued with login credentials for the CCR workstations - these credentials are unique to each particular conference.

Ad-hoc Offices

Rooms in College can be set aside for use as ad-hoc offices, with IT equipment such as desktop PCs, printers & network switches being supplied as required.

Other services

Please contact the Conference Office if you are interested in any other IT services being provided to conferences/delegates by Wadham College.
