Below is a brief step by step guide on how you can install the VPN client needed to connect to the OWL (Oxford Wireless Lan) internet. When you arrive at college and been given your Bodleian card, username (wadhxxxx), you will need to follow a few steps to be able to access wireless in Wadham College. Firstly you need to set up a Remote Access account. This uses your Oxford username and a DIFFERENT password which you need to set up at https://register.ox.ac.uk/. Accessible with you Nexus credentials. Register for a remote access account. Note there will be a lag between setting it up and it being active, you are notified when this will be the case. If you forget your remote access account password this is where it can be changed. Secondly you will need to install the Cisco VPN (Virtual Private Network), also available from the same site. The VPN client is available (under Software on the left handside) for Windows 7, Vista, XP & 2000, OS X 10.4,10.5 and 10.6 and Linux.
