As well as administering a variety of government and university grants and loans Wadham has internal support funds for the support of students facing unforseen financial difficulties. The college also offers academic-related grants to cover expenses linked to the fulfilment of course requirements, and generous awards from a variety of other funds, often given by benefactors for particular purposes (for example, for the support of music and sport). 

Scholarships are awarded annually in recognition of outstanding academic achievement. College Prizes are awarded for distinguished performance in University examinations, and periodically for essay competitions. The College also makes 25 - 30 travel grants each year to encourage vacation travel which is normally unrelated to academic work.
