DREAMING SPIRES...AND MORE

“...So many of our friends were bowled-over by the whole day. It couldn’t have been more perfect. The food and drink were amazing, the timings faultless and the surroundings perfect. Thank you!”

Wedding

Spending a day, or more, at the heart of Oxford makes any occasion special.

Within the College you are welcome to explore, enjoy our historic and modern buildings, and take in the gardens with their colourful borders, rare trees and plants.

The Oxford Shakespeare Company are one of the finest professional open air theatre companies in the UK. This summer they are celebrating their 10th Anniversary with a magical production of A Midsummer Night Dream performed in Wadham's beautiful walled garden in the very heart of Oxford. The event has long been regarded by locals and visitors to the City as the perfect Oxford summer experience. For more information please visit www.osctheatre.org.uk.

If you fancy a stroll, within a few minutes’ walk you and your guests will find the newly refurbished Ashmolean Museum, one of the finest in the country; the world-famous Bodleian Library; landmarks such as the Radcliffe Camera; Blackwell’s book shop; as well as convivial pubs, theatres, and restaurants.

You will find maps of Oxford and copies of the official guide to Oxford at the Tourist Information Centre (http://www.visitoxford.org/), which can also provide information about local events and other attractions during your conference.

London is less than an hour away by train, with easy access to international airports at GatwickHeathrow, Luton and Stanstead. Private flight facilities are available at London Oxford Airport at Kidlington. Taxis and buses (Oxford Tube, Oxford Bus Company, Stagecoach) provide convenient transport around town and further afield as required.  Some of England’s most beautiful countryside is on our doorstep and you are only fifteen minutes from Blenheim Palace, a half hour away from the Cotswolds, with Stonehenge less than an hour’s drive to the South West.
