Join us for Choral Evensong, sung by the Chapel Choir each Sunday. The services are open to all college members and staff, families and friends as well as members of the public.

Services and Preachers

This term we will be hearing different responses to the theme of Passion, culminating in a narrative of Jesus’ Passion (crucifixion narrative).

4th Week, 5 February: Passion
Rev’ Rachel Mann is priest-in-charge of St Nicholas Burnage alongside Poet-in-Residence at Manchester cathedral. Alongside poetry she also writes short stories, feminist theology, books and articles for magazines on prog/metal and folk music.

5th Week, 12 February:  The Passion of the Syrian People
Father Timothy Radcliffe OP is a Dominican friar based at Blackfriars. He was worldwide head of the Order for nine years, and has written several books including “What is the point of being a Christian?”’

6th Week, 19 February: Inter-Collegiate Service at The University Church

7th Week, 26 February: Passion to Action
Che Ramsden graduated from Wadham in 2010 with an English degree having been a devoted member of the Chapel Choir. Following Masters studies at LSE, she has worked for the Children’s Society and recently moved to become the Innovation Lead at Amnesty International. She will be speaking on how communities can practically welcome refugees.
