Peter Thonemann
, MA, DPhil (Oxon) has taught ancient history at Wadham since 2007.  He is a regular contributor to the Times Literary Supplement.

Research interests History, mostly pre-modern; geography; gender; society and economy.

Courses taught (undergraduate and graduate): Greek, Roman and Near Eastern History, from the eighth century BC to the fourth century AD.

Current Projects
I am currently working on documents from central Anatolia (http://mama.csad.ox.ac.uk).
