Supporting Wadham PDF Print

The 400 year history of Wadham is full of examples of the generosity of its members. This ranges from the original Foundation (at a current cost of equivalent to £20 million) by Dorothy and Nicholas, through to Richard Warren's donation of 4,000 books in 1775 to recent graduates who support the annual fund. A brief history of giving to Wadham can be found here.

Wadham needs the support of its alumni and friends more than ever. Students need additional funding which enables them to make the most of their time here; we need to attract the best academic staff who will ensure that the tutorial system continues to thrive; and we need to provide a suitable and confortable environment. You can help by making a donation to any one of these areas, or to the general benefit of the College.

Broadly there are three principal areas where we seek support:

Student support and hardship
Endowment of academic posts
Maintaining the fabric of the College and providing world class facilities
