Wadham’s fourth year Engineering undergraduates scooped two prizes at the 2013 Lubbock Day exhibition at the Oxford University Department of Engineering Science in May.

Wadham’s fourth year Engineering undergraduates were among prizewinners at the 2013 Lubbock Day exhibition at the Oxford University Department of Engineering Science in May.

Rebecca Grady was awarded The ARM Prize for Digital Technology for her project ‘The performers’ acoustic space: Creating a concert hall stage in a practise room’. And Alexander Fox won The Jaguar Land Rover Prize for Excellence in Automotive Engineering’ for his project, Sealing Jet Engines’.

Established in 2001, the exhibition included a range of posters and hardware.

The judges, alumni of the Department of Engineering Science now working in industry, were: Richard Espiner (BP plc); Dr Jessica Leitch (Run3D Ltd); Dr Ankor Raithatha (GL Noble Denton); Dr Claire Lucas (Jaguar Land Rover).

The Undergraduate Project Exhibition was part of the annual Lubbock Day celebrations. Mr Stefano Domenicali, Scuderia Ferrari Team Principal, delivered the 39th Maurice Lubbock Memorial Lecture on ‘Ferrari’
