Broadcast on Bank Holiday Monday, August 29, the Wadham team fought a tough battle, drawing equal with Cambridge on 60 points each at the halfway point of the programme, then taking the lead for a short time. However, Robinson pulled ahead, winning with 155 points over Wadham’s 95.

Congratulations and commiserations to Wadham team members Vivien Holmes (Mathematics and Philosophy, 2013), Edward Lucas (Political Theory, 2015), Vivek Ramakrishna (Chemistry DPhil, 2014) and Thomas Veness (Theoretical Physics DPhil, 2013)

At the end of the game, quiz master Jeremy Paxman commented: “Bad luck Wadham, I don’t think you’re going to be coming back as one of the highest scoring losing teams.”

Wadham alumnus and master of Selwyn College, Cambridge, Roger Mosey (1976, History & German) commented on twitter: "Bad luck @wadhamoxford. Same result as 1978 when I was an undistinguished member of the team."
