Alan Beggs is John Flemming Fellow and Tutor in Economics at Wadham, where he has taught since 1990. He was an undergraduate at Cambridge and completed his DPhil at Oxford. His research interests are in microeconomics, industrial organisation, economic theory and applied econometrics. He currently teaches first and second year microeconomics together with some third-year options.
A Recognition of Distinction Committee annually considers applications in each academic division on behalf of Divisional Boards. Proposals are then made to the Senior Appointments Panel of the University’s Personnel Committee.
All those employed by the University in academic or senior research roles, are eligible for consideration, as are other University employees who are making a significant and sustained academic contribution to the University.
