These competitive and prestigious scholarships include six Senior Scholarships, four Keeley Senior Scholarships, and one Eprime Eshag Senior Scholarship, each comprising £500 plus one free High Table dinner per week during full term.

Students who are either already reading for a postgraduate degree at Wadham or proposing to do so from Michaelmas Term 2017 are welcome to apply (in the latter case the award of the scholarship is conditional upon acceptance by the University and by the College).

Graduates taking either taught or research courses are eligible (e.g. including BCL, 2nd BM, M.Phil, M.Sc. and PGCE students), but the scholarships do not cover undergraduate students in the fourth year of studies (who may be nominated for undergraduate scholarships). Senior Scholars must not be beyond their fourth year of D.Phil. study.

Awards are for one year and students are eligible to apply each year of their course, provided they continue to fulfil the necessary conditions. However, students are only eligible to receive the award once during a given course (e.g. a Senior Scholar studying for a Masters could not reapply while on the same course, but could apply again if they subsequently undertook a DPhil).

Senior Scholarships and Keeley Senior Scholarships are unrestricted in subject area. The Eprime Eshag Senior Scholarship is restricted to a student within the disciplines of Area and Development Studies, Economics, Politics and International Relations, and related disciplines.

These scholarships are made possible by the generosity of Wadham alumni. If you would like to apply please click on the link below for further details. Please note, applications and references should be submitted by 15 September 2017.
