Artworks from two local primary schools, Rose Hill and Larkrise, have gone on display on hoardings at Wadham College’s Iffley Road student accommodation building site.
Year 6 pupils, aged 10 and 11, at Larkrise School, used their imaginations to design buildings of all shapes and sizes for students to live in.
Children from Years 1 and 2, aged six and seven, at Rose Hill School, had been studying the work of a range of artists as inspiration for the two hoarding panels that they have decorated with bold colours and abstract patterns.
The colourful panels are located on hoardings on the Iffley Road, behind which, the final stages of demolition of the old car showroom and garage are nearly complete.
Wadham is constructing a 135 bedroom development on the Iffley Road site, to provide homes for second year students who currently live out of College due to insufficient College owned accommodation. The building is due to open for the start of term in September 2019.
