It’s time for Wadham students to get creative and enter the Rex Warner Prize competition for original short stories, poems or translation.

Made possible by the generosity of Mrs Frances Warner, in memory of her husband Rex Warner, an Honorary Fellow of Wadham College, competitors stand to win up to £150.

Entries are invited in each of the categories below:

•    an original short story
•    an original poem or poems
•    a prose or verse translation from any ancient or modern language into English

Entries should be submitted to Johnathon.ratcliffe@wadh.ox.ac.uk by Friday 1st week, Trinity Term (Friday 28 April 2017).

Prose submissions should not normally exceed 7,500 words. Entries should be legibly typed or printed.

The Prize is open to Wadham undergraduates, students on the Sarah Lawrence visiting programme, and to graduates at Wadham who have not exceeded the end of the 9th term from commencement of graduate study, and will be awarded each year in which an entry of sufficient standard is submitted. The winning entry may be published in the Wadham College Gazette or appear on the College website.
