William Doo Jr is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of FSE Holdings Limited, a leading conglomerate in the services industry specialising in engineering services and environmental engineering, property and facility management services, and insurance consultancy services.
The medal was presented to Mr Doo in the presence of his family and friends by the Consul General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, on behalf of the President of France, in recognition of his work in strengthening relationships between China/Hong Kong and France.
Commenting on the award, William said: “I am very proud and glad to be honoured with such exceptional distinction.” His father and late grandfather received the even higher honour of Chevalier de l’ordre national de la Légion d’honneur for their work building strong relationships with France.
William Doo Jr graduated from Wadham with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Jurisprudence. He obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice in The College of Law in London and a Master of Arts degree from Oxford University. He qualified as a solicitor in Hong Kong and England and Wales in December 1999 and April 2000 respectively and gained legal practise experience in one of the largest global law firms specialising in finance and corporate transactions.
William Doo Jr is currently a Standing Committee Member of the Twelfth Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference in Beijing of The People's Republic of China and has been a committee member of the Disciplinary Panel of The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and an adjudicator of The Immigration Tribunal. He is a member of the Immigration Department Users' Committee and a member of the Torture Claims Appeal Board.
