Joanne Perkins, HR Manager
Joanne Perkins joined Wadham College in June 2014 in a new position as HR Manager to develop the Human Resources function and provide further support for staff at all levels.
As HR Manager, Joanne is responsible for all aspects of HR relating to recruitment, training, employee relations and reward as well as staffing policies and procedures.
Joanne works closely with the Domestic Bursar, Heads of Departments and managers on staffing matters and is another point of contact for staff to come to if they have any queries about work. Joanne also has a more specific, limited contribution to academic staff HR, under the direction of the Senior Tutor.
Joanne is a Human Resources generalist and previously worked as HR Business Partner for a distribution business based in Didcot as well as a national information cancer charity based in London. Prior to this, Joanne worked in numerous managerial and administrative roles in the public, private and voluntary sectors and in 2000 she travelled across Canada and America for a year. She has a MA in Human Resource Management and a BA (Hons) in History and History of Art. She is also a Fellow of the CIPD and is actively involved in the Oxford CIPD Committee.
Joanne is passionate about art and enjoys oil painting, when she has the time.
