The menu choices in this section of the website provide information about the people who run the domestic services and systems that life in College relies on. Colleges can appear complex to the uninitiated. This section will give you an overview of services and systems and how they work and fit together. It will tell you the right people to contact for enquiries and how to contact them. The Domestic Bursar, Mrs Frances Lloyd, is responsible for the College’s non-academic staff, buildings and grounds, health and safety and the general management of the College’s facilities and services. The Domestic Bursar also acts as a point of contact for representatives of the SU and MCR on all domestic matters. However, there are situations when a more formal approach may be appropriate. In these cases, matters can be raised with one of the Domestic Bursar’s departmental managers (College Steward, Accommodation, Conference and Events or Accounts) either directly or through SU or MCR representatives. If a matter needs to be looked at more thoroughly or from a college-wide perspective, and it needs immediate attention, then it can be referred to the Domestic Bursar, usually through the SU or MCR representatives. However, usually college-wide policy matters are considered by the Liaison and Graduate Provision Committees which meets during term and reports to Governing Body. There is also a Food Committee chaired by the Domestic Bursar with SU and MCR representatives which meets regularly during term to deal specifically with catering matters. The Domestic Bursar is assisted by eleven managers, whose areas of responsibility are described in other parts of this section of the website: College Steward The College welcomes feedback on domestic services and facilities which should be sent to the Domestic Bursar:- E-mail: frances.lloyd@wadh.ox.ac.uk |
