Donner-Gotlieb Graduate Scholarship in Law 2012-13 PDF Print
Thanks to the generosity of the Donner Canadian Foundation, and the good offices of Allan E. Gotlieb, Honorary Fellow of Wadham College, the College has for a number of years offered a graduate scholarship open only to Canadian citizens studying for the Oxford BCL or MJur (one year taught Master's) degree programs at Wadham College. The scholarship, which is in memory of Peter Carter, former Fellow of the College, will be awarded on grounds of academic excellence and aptitude.

The 2012/13 scholarship will have a value of approx. £19,000 (GBP).

Wadham College will have three Law Fellows in 2012 and has a long tradition of legal study. There are usually around 35 law students studying for taught degrees and three or four for research degrees.

Applicants should apply to Oxford University in the normal way, naming Wadham College as their college of preference. They should also send a separate brief letter to the Tutor for Graduates of Wadham College confirming that they are applying for the scholarship: no separate application is required.

Candidates who are not successful in their application for the Scholarship will be considered for a place at Wadham if they have alternative sources of financial support. The files of candidates who are accepted by the University, but to whom Wadham does not offer a place, will be redistributed to other colleges in the usual way.
