Peter Carter Scholarship in Law PDF Print
The scholarship is available to a graduate student embarking on the BCL, MJur or MSc in Law & Finance at Wadham College, starting in October 2012.  The scholarship is open to a law graduate of any University.  The value of the scholarship is £10,000, to be used to cover University fees, College fees and/or maintenance of the Scholar during their period of study (one year). This scholarship is made available through the generosity of the PBC Trust, and the Faculty of Law, to commemorate the contributions over many years of the late Peter Carter QC to the Law Faculty and to Wadham.

There is no separate application procedure:  applicants should apply to Oxford University in the normal way, naming Wadham College as their first choice College and indicating on the application form that they wish to be considered for a Departmental Studentship (as described in relation to Law Faculty Scholarships above).  Such an applicant will be considered first for the Peter Carter Scholarship in Law and, if not successful in this respect, for any other relevant Law Faculty Scholarship.  Selection for the Peter Carter Scholarship in Law will be made on the basis of academic excellence.
