Wadham In Objects: The College Paintings

Walking tour: meet in the Hall, 5:30pm

A chance for a first-hand encounter with Wadham's glorious paintings, and access to parts of the College you may not have visited before, with expert guidance from Dr Stephen Goss.

Wadham's paintings include contemporary portraits of Nicholas and Dorothy Wadham, of James I and Charles I, of Admiral Robert Blake and of Sir Christopher Wren, and of various political figures such as Lords Westbury, Simon, and Birkenhead (F. E. Smith), Lord Chancellors, and the Labour Party Leader Michael Foot. This 'Wadham in Objects' session takes these and other pictures as the focus of discussion, led by Dr Stephen Goss. 

Please arrive in Hall by 5:30pm. The tour will be from 5:30-6:30pm, after which there will be drinks and nibbles provided in the SCR.
