With looming elections, where does the US go next?
Alumni James Warlick Jr (MLitt Politics, 1977) and Lissa Muscatine (PPE, 1977), in conversation with the Warden, Ken Macdonald QC, offer insightful perspectives on the current US political landscape.
In lieu of our annual alumni dinner in September, the Wadham Alumni Society proudly presents the next in our series of exclusive online events.
Ambassador James Warlick is Managing Director of the international law firm of Egorov, Puginsky, Afanasiev and Partners. He also serves as President and CEO of Juno Global Strategies LLC, a consulting firm based in Washington, D.C. and is senior advisor to the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. Prior to these positions, Ambassador Warlick was a career diplomat in the U.S. Department of State for more than thirty years where he worked concurrently as Associate Professor of Law at Arizona State University. In his diplomatic career, Ambassador Warlick served as Ambassador to Bulgaria and was one of the country's foremost negotiators on defense and security policy issues.
Lissa Muscatine was Chief Speechwriter for Hillary Rodham Clinton at the White House and State Department and served as an informal advisor to her presidential campaigns, helping to shape her message and policies over two critical decades in American government and politics from 1992. Currently co-owner of Politics and Prose Bookstore in Washington, D.C., Lissa is working on a book, Hillaryland, to be published by Penguin Press.
You will have the opportunity to ask questions and the Warden looks forward to facilitating a Q&A with alumni from all over the world.
