Andrew Chan, Anbara Khalidi, John Miles and Tyler Shendruk will be helping to build academic links and provide research leadership to Wadham’s growing graduate community. With associate membership of the Middle Common Room (MCR), the Research Associates will be using a variety of methods to help increase intellectual exchange, including the organisation of research seminars and the editing and publication of the College’s graduate publication, The Wadham Journal.

All four Research Associates have existing positions within the University. Andrew Chan is a post-doctoral researcher at the Centre for Molecular and Cellular Physiology; Anbara Khalidi is post-doctoral researcher at the The Oxford Research Centre in Humanities (TORCH); John Miles is Humanities Training Officer in the Humanities Division; and Tyler Shendruk is EMBO long-term fellow in the Rudolf Peierls Centre for Theoretical Physics. They will be joining Senior Common Room meal times once a week to help them carry out their work.

Wadham’s Tutor for Graduates Mark Thompson commented: “With their distinctive sets of skills and expertise and exciting proposals for enhancing research communication at Wadham, we are looking forward to the contribution that these four Research Associates will be able to make to the College”
