Twelve enthusiastic students spoke to alumni from across the generations. The callers heard stories of Wadham’s past, shared current news and received valuable career advice in addition to raising support for the College.
During the campaign, over half of alumni contacted made a gift, pledging a total of £190,000 to the Wadham Fund in just a week and a half!
Being part of the Telephone Campaign is a great opportunity for students to network with Wadham’s vibrant alumni community while giving back to College. Caller and SU President, Lucas Bertholdi-Saad (History and Economics, 2015), commented: "Wadham is such a great place and I am so proud to be able to help my community." The telephone campaign enables current students to celebrate Wadham and the achievements of its alumni while contributing to its future by asking alumni to give to the Wadham Fund.
The Wadham Fund is a way for alumni to give directly to the support of current students. Alumni donate with a range of gifts from £5 each month, to £5,000 each year. Donations go towards Student Hardship Grants, the College’s ambitious Access and Outreach programme and support for the Tutorial System. All donations to the Wadham Fund contribute to our Access to Excellence programme. Wadham College is immensely grateful to over 1,000 alumni who donate to the Wadham Fund every year and would like to express sincere thanks to all who donated to the Telephone Campaign.
