Wadham celebrated LGBTQIA+ culture with a week of events culminating in Queerfest in the gardens on Saturday.

Organised by Wadham students, Queerfest is Oxford’s biggest student celebration of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex and asexual culture, complete with live music and dancing.

More than twenty events were held at Wadham during this year's Queer Week, organised by Wadham’s current LGBTQIA+ officers (Harrie England & Ben Black), with the theme Where do we go from Queer?

The weeks activities incuded visiting speakers, a poetry evening, film screenings, workshops and debates.Events ranged from academic talks on queer History to gender-neutral hairdressing appointments.

Queer week culminated in Queerfest, a colourful celebration of diversity, equality and LGBTQIA+ culture organised by the Student Union Entz team (Alex Coonar, Oli Nelson, Son Olszewski and Theo Anton).
