Wadham's graduate and undergraduate Freshers officially join the University of Oxford at the Matriculation ceremony, held in the Sheldonian Building.

Led by Emeritus Fellow, Ray Ockenden, Matriculation day beings with a roll call in Hall before the students are led over to the Sheldonian for the official ceremony.

The ceremony involves Latin dialogue between the Senior Dean of Degrees and the Vice-Chancellor or her representative, which confirms that those present are now full members of the university.

Brunch is then served at Wadham, once the students have returned to College and a formal photograph is taken in the afternoon.

Some 199 Wadham students were matriculated on Saturday 13 October 2018, with a grand total of 8,000 students being matriculated into the University of Oxford as a whole.
