News, Student news

As Wadham staff and students return to College, our catering and Hall teams have introduced new dining measures to protect our community during the pandemic.

  • Sandwich lunch

A one way system is in operation in JCR/Bar Quad to pick up a pre-ordered sandwich lunch from the new refectory.

Wadham staff have been putting lunch plans to the test ahead of the arrival of the majority of the student body. One way systems with socially distant queuing, wearing of face coverings, hand sanitiser points and Perspex screens all characterise new meal arrangements.

We have extended our catering operation as much as we can to support students living on the main site without access to cooking facilities. Take away services will be available daily for hot and cold food plus a dine-in service in the Hall.

Menus for each sitting will be posted on the Meal Booking System and booking will be essential.  All meals will need to be booked by 10am the preceding day (by 10am on Friday for meals on Saturday, Sunday and Monday) as we won’t be operating a walk-in service for any meals.

The kitchen will continue to cater for all dietary requirements, including vegan and halal.  Please ensure that you enter your dietary requirement on the MBS before you book your meal. And don't forget to bring your own cutlery and drink!

Full catering service details, including meal times, will be available soon.
