Wadham Entrepreneurs is a growing forum for like-minded alumni to discuss the highs and lows of developing your own business.
At regular gatherings, members share thoughts, ask advice, and discuss curated topics in more detail.
The latest meeting, via Zoom, featured a keynote address from Maurice Ostro OBE KFO (Law, 1985) sharing his experiences and advice, followed with rapid fire business-case presentations by Alistair Baillie (Physics, 1994) and Chris Stylianou (Physics, 2006), leading to discussion and feedback by the group on their ventures.
The Wadham Entrepreneurs group offers an opportunity for open dialogue, sharing not only success stories, but also challenges common to all entrepreneurs. Nick Britton (Physics, 2000) remarked "Another great session with the Wadham Entrepreneurs kicked off by Maurice Ostro who shared some insightful learnings for a path to success. A pleasure to connect with such a diverse, intelligent set of perspectives."
The group has over 30 members, spanning many industries, from recent leavers with an innovative idea to seasoned business owners with multiple ventures. Areas of expertise range from intellectual property law, matching investors with start-ups, and financial advisory services.
