Merifield houses a community of graduates and fourth-year undergraduates, and is the location of Wadham's sports field and sports pavillion.
Merifield is a community of graduates and fourth-year undergraduates. In Summertown, North of the City Centre, you'll be within walking distance of Summertown's many shops and restaurants. Our modern gated complex of fully-fitted spacious apartments also enjoys regular buses to the City Centre and is just a ten minute cycle from the main College site.
The furnished apartments house 4 or 5 students in single rooms, sharing a spacious kitchen, dining and living room, and bathrooms. The 5-bedroom apartments have 2 bathrooms, whilst the 4-bedroom apartments have 1 bathroom and 1 toilet with wash basin.
Heating, lighting, water and internet charges are included in the cost. Residents must bring their own bedding and bed linen (suitable for a single bed). Basic crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are provided. There is a basic level of insurance cover for personal belongings.
There is no parking on site, and parking is strictly controlled in nearby streets.
The complex has a comprehensive CCTV monitoring system and an electronic card-controlled access system. A manager resides on site for urgent maintenance support and there is also a live-in Junior Dean for welfare support during term-time.
Sports Field
Merifield is also home to Wadham's sports field and sports pavillion, with football pitches, cricket fields and tennis courts.
Students living in Merifield can still use the facilities on the Main Site.
