Play Student on steps in front of new buildings

A warm welcome to the Wadham community

We are delighted so many of you attended our on-line events in recent weeks. You can sign up for our upcoming events here, including our Architecture and Access event on 13 May where Amanda Levete talks to Dr Neal Shasore about architecture and educational aspirations.

We soon hope to welcome you back to College for in-person events, so please do sign up for our newsletter to get the latest updates.

Thanks to your generosity, work on Wadham’s Access to Excellence programme continues to support young people from all backgrounds and our Access Officers have delivered a programme of virtual support for our regional schools during the pandemic. The results are reflected in the increasing diversity in the student community at Wadham and across Oxford.

As work concludes on the William Doo Undergraduate Centre and Dr Lee Shau Kee Buildings we look forward to welcoming our generous donors back for a tour of the elegant new buildings as soon as possible. See our latest photos here and watch an interview with architect Amanda Levete.

At a wonderful evening of poetry readings, Fellows Bernard O'Donoghue and Jane Griffiths were joined by alumni Hilary Davies (Modern Languages, 1974), Grevel Lindop (English, 1966), Michael Schmidt (English, 1967) and Rowan Williams (Theology, 1972).

Recordings from past virtual events can be watched here.

We are especially pleased to be able to share a link, courtesy of Oxford Coffee Concerts, to recent virtual concert recordings held in the Holywell Music Room.
