Schools and Outreach
Wadham’s access and outreach team provides a responsive and inclusive programme to help young people make informed choices about their futures.
Wadham believes that it is important for all young people to have the opportunity to reach their full potential, regardless of background. Our widening participation work, supported by our Access to Excellence programme, helps students, from primary through to sixth form, to find the right course and university for them.
Under the University’s Regionalisation Scheme, each Oxford College focuses their outreach work on particular local authorities across the UK.
This measure has been undertaken to improve the way in which we communicate information, advice and guidance to teachers. The scheme will not have any bearing on the Oxford admissions process and will not influence whether a college offers a candidate a place. It is also not intended to replace any existing contact a school may have with a particular college or department.
Wadham College has been allocated the regions of: Barking and Dagenham, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hackney, Havering, Islington, Luton, Newham, Redbridge and Tower Hamlets
