The 1974 Dorothy Wadham Travel Grants
To mark the 50th anniversary of co-education at Wadham, a group of alumnae who matriculated in 1974 have proposed creating a fund for travel grants to support students who embody the pioneering spirit of Dorothy Wadham.
These grants will be available to help fund educational and inspirational opportunities related to their chosen subject, both within the UK and overseas. Priority will be given to students who have not had many opportunities to travel in the past.
The alumnae behind this fund said of their inspiration behind the idea: "How glorious to send a young classicist to Rome, a law student to observe at the International Court of Justice, a scientist to visit a great new engineering development somewhere, or a musician to explore Mozart locations in Prague and attend performances there!"
Alumni and friends who are interested in supporting these opportunities are warmly encouraged to donate to the 1974 Dorothy Wadham Travel Fund. Click here to donate.
