Hannah Christensen is recognised with a Mathematical, Physical, and Life Sciences Division Teaching Award 2026

These annual MPLS awardswelcome nominations from all those involved in teaching activities. The winners were chosen by a cross-departmental panel chaired by Professor Martin Castell, Associate Head of Division.

Professor Christensen's nomination recognises the consistently strong and positive feedback she received from students for her lecture course and her ongoing commitment to delivering a high-quality learning experience, noting the positive impact her teaching has had on students’ understanding, confidence, and engagement. The feedback reflects the value students placed on Professor Christensen's teaching and the meaningful contribution she has made to their learning experience.

Professor Andrew Boothroyd, Head of the Department of Physics, said:
