Our alumnus, Keir Mather, has become the youngest member of UK Parliament

Keir Mather (BA History and Politics, 2016) is the youngest member of the UK Parliament after winning a a by-election by more than 4,000 votes for the seat of Selby and Ainsty, a constituency in North Yorkshire, England.
After graduating from Wadham, Keir went on to study for a graduate degree, the Master of Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government in 2020. After the results, Keir told reporters: “As a young person in politics, I really hope to be a representative for the power that young people have to make a difference.”
