Thank you to everyone who contributed to our Giving Day

For our sixth annual Giving Day, 7-8 May, we celebrated the people who make Wadham unique.
We come together each Giving Day to support the initiatives that make Wadham a vibrant and inspiring place to learn, grow, and thrive. The generous donations we receive fund bursaries, research, and the tutorial teaching that ensures every student has the opportunity to succeed. This year, with your support, we raised an incredible £137,536.

Giving Day activities bring the whole community together. This year saw the return of the Students vs Tutors pub quiz, with the Tutors breathing a sigh of relief as they took the crown. We also had a bouquet sale with plants taken from our grounds, organised by Head Gardener, David Perdiguero Blanco, and Lodge Manager, Gulen Acikgoz. Alongside, our students ran a bake sale.
One group of people that contribute so much to making Wadham special is our scouts. Our Housekeeping team have been tracking their steps over the year, with a combined total of 32,520 miles - enough for a trip around the world!
A special item from another Wadham artist was up for auction. Our Librarian, Tim Kirtley, has continued the tradition of creating a beautiful artwork. For Giving Day 2025, Tim provided a beautiful hand-drawn pastel of the College, which went for £500 at auction. We also sold some beautiful dining sets straight from Wadham's hall!
We heard messages from Fellows, staff, and alumni about what makes Wadham such a great place to be.
We are grateful for our donors' support. This is invaluable in helping us continue to advance knowledge and innovation, and to make a lasting impact on our community and beyond. Our alumni play a crucial role in Giving Day, sharing their experiences and giving back to the College that helped shape their lives.
379 of you donated this Giving Day! Thank you.
