Barnaby Norman

Barnaby joined the Development office as Deputy Director in March 2022, having started his career in academic development across the road at New College in 2017 - where he worked as a major-gifts fundraiser, supporting the c.£70m project to build a new quadrangle.

Before starting in development, Barnaby completed a PhD in French philosophy and literary theory at King's College, London, and worked as an academic translator. He has translated six books of French-language philosophy, winning a French Voices award for his most recent work in 2020.
