Hannah Zaki
Director of College Music
Biography
As Director of Music, Hannah is responsible for directing the Chapel Choir. She plays a leading role in the organisation of musical activity within the College.
Born in Cardiff, Hannah is a professional Choral Conductor and Organist now based in Oxford. In addition to her role at Wadham, Hannah is the Musical Director and Co-Founder of Antiphon, one of Oxford’s leading amateur chamber choirs, and directs a number of other choirs in the Thames Valley Region.
Hannah completed her BA in Music at Hertford College, Oxford, where she was Organ Scholar. She subsequently attained a distinction in her MA in Choral Conducting at the Royal Academy of Music, where she was awarded the Alec Robertson Memorial Prize.
Hannah’s musical interests are wide-ranging, with a particular focus on English sacred choral music of the 16th and 20th Centuries, notably the music of William Byrd and Herbert Howells.
