Wadham is famous for its friendly, inclusive and welcoming culture. The College is proud of the diversity of its student body, comprising over 50 nationalities. We are proud to be in the vanguard of efforts to broaden access to the University of Oxford. Choose from a huge range of clubs and societies, from sports and politics to science and yoga, or attend a speaker event where we welcome leading experts from the arts and sciences. Wadham is proud of its excellent academic reputation. We have around 70 Fellows and 40 lecturers who, along with professorial and research staff, create a thriving intellectual environment. With around 440 undergraduates and 250 graduate students, Wadham is one of Oxford’s largest colleges and offers most of the academic subjects that can be studied at the University. Wadham College is situated in the centre of Oxford. Our facilities are housed in a combination of historic and state of the art buildings interspersed with stunning gardens and outdoor social spaces. The famous King’s Arms pub is next door on Parks Road, The Bodleian Library is just across the road and the science area is only a few minutes’ walk away. Our Holywell Music Room and Sir Claus Moser Theatre are used for a variety of performing arts and our sports facilities include a gym, sports ground and pavillion, boathouse and squash court.

5. Outstanding facilities

Wadham has high-quality student accommodation. All undergraduates can live on the main College site for two years, including their first year, and are offered College-owned accommodation in Oxford for the remainder of their course. Our William Doo Undergraduate Centre comprises a Junior Common Room, Bar, Cafe, Art Room and study spaces while our McCall MacBain Graduate Centre provides dedicated social and study space for our Graduate students.
