Rob Iliffe

Rob Iliffe is Professor of History of Science at Oxford University. He has published extensively on the exact sciences between 1650 and 1850; the history of relations between science and religion; the life and works of Isaac Newton; and the history of scientific expeditions. He was editor of History of Science from 2002-8 and co-editor of Annals of Science from 2010-2019. He is co-director of the Newton Project, an online digital edition of Isaac Newton’s writings, and is Principal Investigator of a digital project providing a range of resources relating to the history of car manufacture in Cowley, Oxford from the early C20th to today.
