Summary
We are hosting the first showcase event for the College’s Life-Changing - World-Changing campaign at The Conduit on Wednesday 11 November from 6-8pm.
The evening will bring together a small group of Wadham alumni, friends and leading voices from science, government and finance for a panel discussion, followed by an opportunity for networking.
The discussion will be chaired by the Warden, Robert Hannigan and Professor of Biodiversity, Nathalie Seddon and panellists will include Joanna Macrae OBE, Director of Political Strategy at National Emergency Briefing. The speakers will focus on what it takes to move from evidence to action as governments and institutions address climate and nature loss. We will ask what action looks like at a global, national and institutional level - and what Wadham's own ambitious sustainability strategy is already demonstrating in practice.
As Robert Hannigan highlights in our campaign plan: “Wadham has always sought to set the highest standards - whether in scholarship, in access, or now in sustainability. Our goal is to be an exemplar: to show how a historic Oxford college can take bold, evidence-led action on climate and biodiversity while preserving its heritage.”
We look forward to lifting the veil on our upcoming campaign with this first showcase event.
This event is by invitation. Please contact the Development Office for more information.
