Another Wadham 1999 VHS on YouTube!

Check out how Wadham advertised its conference facilities near the turn of the millennium.
Keeper of the Archives, Jeffrey Hackney, recently had photos and analogue media items from our archives digitised, including this VHS tape. This was made possible by a grant from the William and Edith Oldham Charitable Trust, courtesy of our recently sadly deceased alumnus, Paul Oldham.
We've now released the digitised version of the VHS on YouTube for all to enjoy and experience this part of Wadham's history.
Which part of history is it from, exactly? Given that there is some shared footage between this video and the video for student applicants, and that both were produced by Martin Cullingford & Partners Video Production, they were likely produced at the same time. The student applicant video probably dates to 1999, so this VHS is also probably from 1999.
The film is titled, 'Conference Wadham' and begins by selling Oxford as a city before focusing on Wadham's unique traits. These include its central location, mix of old and new architecture, and stunning venues like the Holywell Music Room and Dining Hall.
In fact, these qualities remains some of Wadham's greatest strengths! You can check out what Wadham offers now, 25 years later, at the link below.
