Prof Ekaterina Shamonina wins Gold Teaching Award

The Department of Engineering Science annually awards Bronze, Silver, and Gold awards for excellence in teaching.
Wadham is proud to announce that our Fellow and Tutor in Electrical Engineering, Prof Ekaterina Shamonina, has received a Gold Award for 2025! Prof Shamonina's award specifically celebrates her "excellent lectures, tutorials, and pastoral support."
Nominations for the awards are made by students and faculty, and the awards are decided by a committee that also represents both students and faculty. Prof Shamonina previously won a Gold Award in 2020.
"Receiving this award is a tremendous honour," Prof Shamonina said, "and I am both humbled and grateful. It is our amazing students who make Oxford so special, and the opportunity to teach them is a privilege that is its own greatest reward."
