Oxford University's new Proctors and Assessor were admitted in a ceremony at the Sheldonian Theatre on 18 March 2026 for the ensuing year.
The Proctors and Assessor oversee student matters and ensure that the University’s statutes, regulations and policies are followed, with a particular interest in examinations, conduct and welfare, plus other aspects of the student experience. They are senior officers of the University but not professional administrators, and as academics, they are elected for a year by their colleges.
Many congratulations to the new Proctors and Assessor, including Professor Andrew Farmery, the University's new Senior Proctor.
