We've reached the end of a wonderful Trinity term at Wadham

We wish everyone a good summer vacation.
Trinity Highlights
One of our annual Wadham highlights is the local derby football match between the rival teams of our accommodation buildings, Merrifield and Dorothy Wadham Building. This year, we congratulate team DWB on their victory!
More memorable moments from Trinity term include the greenest Wadstock ever, as we continued to pursue our sustainability agenda. For the first time, we used reusable cups and food trays only at this iconic event. There were lots of food options for vegans and vegetarians and no red meat was served. Clearly-labelled sorting stations (made of recyclable or reusable material) helped to reduce waste and our students worked with us to sort through this and ensure correct recycling the next day.
We celebrated our participation in Good Food Oxfordshire’s Farm to Fork initiative with a special menu for our sustainable SU Guest Night dinner. OxFarmToFork is a collaborative project that connects Oxford colleges and other institutions in Oxfordshire with local agroecological food producers. Students, guests, and Fellows enjoyed delicious food while maintaining our commitment to sustainable food at Wadham.
Our Chaplain, Jane Baun, continues to lead activities for students and staff, including weekly tree walks. Jane and the welfare team were busy during 5th week, offering a number of activities. Jane also provided a welfare space and activities in the Chapel.
We enjoyed 'Smooth sailing: from historical sea charts to 21st-century navigation', a Wadham Library multimedia exhibition co-curated by our Rare Books Cataloguer, Alison Felstead, and DPhil student, Sam Johnson.
Many of us got involved in the Gardening Volunteers Group led by Head Gardener, David, and team. We're enjoying seeing the results of our hard work and the beauty of our gardens.
The sun shone for Summer Eights. Thank you, as always, to Rod and Steph for their coaching and to all the Wadham crews that took part. We also enjoyed the Drama Society's garden play, 'Robin Hood', and the Music Society's playthrough of ABBA Gold in the Holywell Music Room
We congratulated this year's Rex Warner Prize winners and Team Wadham runners, who took part in the Oxford Town and Gown 10k in memory of our student, Yihong Wang.
We marked our relationship with pioneering entrepreneur and philanthropist, Dr Lee Shau Kee, which spanned more than fifty years. We celebrated his legacy with a memorial exhibition celebrating his life. We were delighted that members of Dr Shau Kee's family joined us for the event.
We were happy to see our alumni, Melvyn Bragg and Matthew Benham, back at College for Warden Welcomes events. We enjoyed hearing about their lives and careers and hope that they will return to Wadham again soon.
Four first-year Law students took part in the College moot. Our alumnus and Honorary Fellow, President of the Wadham College Law Society and a distinguished former judge, Sir Tim Holroyde, kindly agreed to judge this year’s moot.
We wish good luck to everyone doing exams, including those who will sit them for the last time at Wadham. Have a wonderful summer!
