Frances Lloyd
Fellow and Director of Sustainability
Biography
Frances was Domestic Bursar and Fellow of Wadham College between September 2011 and April 2025. From May 2025, she transferred to the role of Fellow and Director of Sustainability for the next two years to develop and implement the College’s ambitious sustainability priorities, working closely with Joe Bull, Wadham Tutorial Fellow in Biology and an Associate Professor in Climate Change Biology. Wadham is highly committed to its bold strategy to build a more sustainable path, delivering on its net zero target and enhancing biodiversity for the future.
Frances has over 30 years senior administrative/management experience in a range of roles in the higher education sector, starting her career in several residential management roles at King’s College London.
Frances transferred to academic administration in 1997 when she was appointed Faculty Administrative Officer at the University of Surrey Roehampton. In 2004 she moved to Imperial College London to become Divisional Administrator of the Division of Biomedical Sciences. Between 2006 and 2011, she was the Business Manager at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics, a large research department within Oxford University where she was responsible for the management and administration supporting its scientific strategy.
