Arts Week at Wadham

Date Published: 07.05.2024

Our students enjoyed a wonderful Arts Week in Week 2 of Trinity term.

Botanical print making in Wadham College grounds

The week was packed full with creative sessions, thanks to the hard work of SU Arts Officer, Emilia and all those who contributed to Arts Week. All materials were provided and lots of Wadham students shared their skills while learning new ones.

The events included a Tree Walk and Sketch in Wadham Gardens, with our Chaplain, Jane Baun, followed by Botanical Printmaking with leaves and more from the the garden. Lunchbox Magazine led a Collaging Session, where the students created an Alice in Wonderland-esque collage. Our Disabilities Officers led a Disabilities Week Craft Night, with textiles, paint, and more. Many of our students enjoyed Watercolours and Wine, Clothes Fixing, and Stop-motion Animation sessions. Several book groups met during Arts Week, which ended with a final Life Drawing session that raised money for the charity, SolidariTee.

Well done to Emilia and everyone who helped to make the week such a success!

It was a very fun week with lots of free events in college. Various students volunteered and offered their skills, and many attended and enjoyed the activities.
