Chemistry
DPhil & Msc(Res) courses
Wadham admits a substantial cohort of graduate chemistry students each year, who undertake work in a wide variety of the research groups operating within the university.
The Courses
Wadham admits students for the following graduate course:
DPhil & MSc(Res) in Chemistry
The College also admits students undertaking research in the University's various Centres for Doctoral Training, for instance the CDTs in Synthetic Biology, Synthesis for Biology and Medicine, Theory and Modelling in Chemical Sciences and Inorganic Chemistry for Future Manufacturing.
The Tutors
Prof Paul Beer
Paul's general field of research is host-guest supramolecular chemistry, which covers a broad area of interests.
Dr Lydia Gilday
Lydia's research interests are in the area of supramolecular chemistry and include exploiting halogen-bonding for molecular recognition and anion templation.
Prof Stephan Rauschenbach
Stephan's research interests are in preparative mass spectrometry, a method of handling even the largest of molecules to make them accessible at the individual molecule level.
