Choir

Music is an integral part of life at Wadham, with a thriving choir made up of students and alumni, led by our Director of Music

Our Choir

The Wadham College Chapel Choir play a leading role in supporting the sung worship in Chapel. During termtime, the Choir sings for weekly services of Choral Evensong and other significant events in the College calendar.

The Choir prides itself on combining a commitment to high musical standards with a welcoming and supportive atmosphere, and explores a huge variety of music from plainsong to contemporary compositions.

Our choir is comprised of people from many faiths and none, but its members are necessarily sympathetic with the Anglican tradition.

Aside from singing for Chapel services, the choir perform in concert and embark on a European tour each summer. In addition to making music together, our choir is a friendly and sociable community where choir members enjoy spending time socialising at events outside of Chapel. We share a meal together following each Sunday service and organise regular social events throughout the term.

The experience of singing as part of a choir every week is so joyful, and a welcome break from the business of life in Oxford.
