Lodge Receptionist - Night Shift

Wadham College, one of the largest Oxford colleges, is looking for a full time Lodge Receptionist to work on the night shift as part of a small team and contribute to the efficient running of the College.

The Lodge is not only front of house, but in many ways, it is the hub of the College, and the role of a Lodge Receptionist is vital to the efficient running of the College. Our Lodge Receptionists are expected to be knowledgeable about College life and rules and to be polite and helpful when dealing with both members of the public, and the wider college community.

Salary: Grade 3 on the University salary Scale: £25,768 pa - £27,880 per annum

The post-holders will need to have customer service experience, excellent communication skills, good administrative skills and be able to use their own initiative and deal effectively with any issues that may arise. Experience of working in an Oxford College is not essential and training will be provided in the role.

The working hours are full time: 2080 hours per annum as per roster, (approx. 40 hours per week, averaged over 6 weeks). Hours for night receptionists fall between 7pm-7am to ensure the Lodge is covered 24 hours a day.
