Wadham’s Fellows advance world-leading research and contribute to the development of human knowledge. Their international standing and research impact is also critically important for our ability to develop the outstanding thinkers and leaders for the world.
Our challenge
- Oxford is a high-cost place to live and work, and rising costs are felt by our academics.
- The University has attractive advantages in its multi-disciplinary tradition, collegiate system, and global status, but, increasingly, young researchers are finding that academic careers are financially unsustainable.
- We are losing out on opportunities to engage the most pioneering young minds.
Our vision is to endow a substantial number of fellowships and posts across Humanities, Social Sciences, MPLS and Medical Sciences, to secure the impact of our researchers in perpetuity.
The impact
With your support, our researchers will continue to address the most pressing problems of our time and pioneer emerging solutions across the University’s four divisional areas. From climate change solutions and social justice to responsible AI and Modern Languages.
