Study Advice

Wadham has five Study Advisors who provide undergraduates with study skill guidance.

Study Advisors

Study guidance is not subject-specific, but Study Advisors can help with issues such as time management, organising your reading productively or planning essays. Three of our Study Advisors are able to help students doing science subjects with general data analysis and statistical methods.

Meetings are normally arranged by referral from your Tutor. However, we are currently offering students the ability to self-refer. If you would like to register your interest for up to two 1-hour sessions with a Study Advisor, please contact the Graduate Administrator, In your email please include your subject, year, and a brief description of what you’d like help with (for example: essay writing, or time management).

Meetings with Study Advisors are arranged by referral. Please don't hesitate to contact your College Tutor, or The Tutor for Undergraduates, Peter Thonemann (, or the Welfare Team (; to be referred.

“My contact with the graduate study advisors was invaluable; it helped to prioritise revision topics, organise how to go about revising and to discuss concerns…I would recommend them to everyone”

Please help us by giving feedback on the support provided by the Study Advisors. Email the Graduate Administrator or send your feedback to the Academic Office labelled 'Attention: Graduate Administrator'. All feedback will be anonymized before being shared.
