Summary

Wadham Chapel Choir alumni are invited to join us for this year’s Choir Gaudy, a splendid celebration of music and friendship at Wadham.

This special event will be a wonderful occasion for all alumni of the Chapel Choir to reconnect with friends, and to forge new connections with our current choir members. It also marks an exciting new chapter in the Choir’s history with the welcoming of our new Director of Music, Tom Hammond-Davies. Our guest of honour will be Tom’s predecessor, Katie Pardee, and together they invite you to come and sing a festive Evensong in the beautiful Chapel, a fitting tribute to the musical legacy and bright future of music-making at Wadham!

Programme:

12.30pm - Registration will open in the atrium of the Dr Lee Shau Kee Building (back quad), with tea, coffee and pastries

1-3pm - Rehearsal in Chapel
Repertoire is set to include Rose Responses, Psalm 150 (Stanford), Howells Coll. Reg., and Vaughan Williams Antiphon (Let all the world). All materials will be provided on the day.

3pm - Break

4pm - Evensong

5pm - Canapés and drinks in the Cloister gardens (or atrium if wet)

6pm - End

Booking information:

Tickets are priced at £25 for choir alumni and £5 for current choir members, and are subsidised by a donor-funded Katie Pardee Choir Fund. If you would like to support this fund, you can make a donation by selecting the Katie Pardee Choir Fund from the drop down menu here.

Our choir membership data is a little scarce for some years, particularly over 20 years ago. If you were in the Wadham choir, do let us know so that we can send you an invitation and update our choir records.
